Experience the phenomenon of the Mysterious Paulding Lights!

Local area artists are always happy to show their work.  Visit Jeni's Jewels and you will find handmade, one-of-a-kind glass jewelry,
beads, night lights and art pieces.  The Wild U.P. Photography offers photos of the area, waterfalls, park and more.  You can view Rick's work
at www.thewildup.com.  While visiting be sure to check out Great Lakes Trading and the U.P. Candle Company.  The U.P. Candle Company
makes their own candles in a variety of scents.  These can also be purchased through their website.

If you would prefer a day trip, you can visit the Copper Harbor area which hosts many museums, historical sites,
lighthouses and "The Jampot" run by the Monks.  Or take the scenic drive to the Bayfield area and ferry across
to the Apostle Islands. Take in some Indian culture in the Ironwood area and visit the Copper Peak International Ski Flying Hill.
The largest ski jump in the USA! Ride to the top and enjoy the magnificent view.

For the most relaxing vacation of all, spend your time on the beach at Mountain View. Take a walk along the sandy shoreline,
build a fire and watch the sunset and the stars that blanket the sky.  Or make yourself comfortable on one of the swings on our

2006-2007season!  With the opening of the new mountain "Everest" and the addition of Snowcat skiing,

A 42 kilometer cross-country groomed ski trail system encircles the Alpine ski area with numerous scenic loops
...And the Survey says: It was great this year and will even better next!  There are also X-Country trails in the
Ottawa National Forest, the Bergland Ski Trail and Sylvania Outfitters Trails.

There are a variety of skiing options all within an hours drive.  Some slopes open at Thanksgiving!  For more
